I am a brown female settler of South Asian Indian ancestry in the Turtle Island,on the Unceded traditional territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam),sel̓il̓witulh (Tsleil Waututh) and sḵwx̱wu7mesh (Squamish) Coast Salish peoples. I am grateful to be able to live, work, learn and play here. I recognize the continued impact of colonization on Indigenous communities in Canada. In my work, I strive to acknowledge, advocate, push back and resist the systemic oppressions on marginalized communities.
